FIL Limited (FIL) provides investment products and services to individuals, institutions and multi-national corporations and their advisers.

Our product range spans:

We have online investment platforms in the UK, Germany and Taiwan (FundsNetwork™).

Company structure and history

FIL is a privately owned investment management company and is the ultimate holding company of an international group of companies (FIL and its consolidated subsidiaries, together "Fidelity").

FIL was incorporated in Bermuda in 1969 and its shares are owned primarily by officers and senior employees of Fidelity and their families (including members of the Edward C. Johnson 3rd family through trusts and partnerships for their benefit).

In 1969, a Tokyo office was opened. It was the first foreign (non-Japanese) asset management company to open in Japan. In 1973, our first European base was established in London.

Our US affiliate, Fidelity Management and Research (FMR), serves the Americas region and is one of the USA's largest mutual fund companies. It was founded in 1946 by Edward C. Johnson 2nd.

In 1979, FIL Limited became independent of FMR Corp, working with Fidelity's clients outside North America.

Fidelity maintains close links with FMR Corp. and the two companies draw on each other's extensive research capabilities.

• Extensive network of offices in 23 countries, employing more than 4,000 people.
• Asset management companies in 10 locations: London, Luxembourg, Frankfurt, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Seoul, Singapore and Sydney.
• Fund platforms located in the UK, Germany and Taiwan (FundsNetwork™).
